WHAT ARE PROMO (PROMOTION) CODES?

First Nations Gifts offers site-wide promo codes which are either product promotions or shipping promotions.

These promotions provide our customers with incentives to spend with all vendors across the site and are marketed on social media channels. Sellers are encouraged to offer these site-wide promos.

In many cases, promos will be country specific. For example, sellers in Australia may be requested to sell products under a promo for NAIDOC week, but any sellers from New Zealand for example will not be requested to offer this promotion.

CAN I CREATE MY OWN BRAND STORES PROMOTION CODES?

You can create your own brand promo codes to encourage site users to shop with your brand. You can create product promotions or shipping promotions in the Coupon area.

WHY WOULD I USE A PROMO CODE?

Promo codes are used for a range of reasons to promote your brand. They help move excess stock, market new items, help clear out excess items or reduce stock for stock-take and promote stock with more profitable margins for example:

• You can discount items that are currently trending to increase sales of that item.
• Create a code especially for people in your social networks. You could send a code to anyone who re-tweets your link or shares something from the site on Facebook.

HOW DO I CREATE A PROMO CODE?

Log in to your account, go to your Dashboard through the Campfire.
Go through each step on the page then click ‘create promo code’.

HOW DO I DISTRIBUTE PROMO CODES?

You have 2 options – Public or Private

• Public Promo Codes – when active, you can add a promo code to all your products or exclude some products, then add a promo code to your ‘short product description’ if you wish. You can only make one promo code public at a time.
• Private Promo Codes – you can create these and send them out directly to people or your brands social media followers. This one works when you want to reward your followers or your customers.

HOW MANY TIMES CAN A PROMO CODE BE USED?

You can specify how many times a promo code can be used when you create the code. Choose between one use, multiple use or unlimited uses.

CAN I DELETE A PROMO CODE?

Yes, you can deactivate or delete promo codes at any time. If you think you will want to use that Promo code again, deactivate it. If you delete a promo code entirely, you’ll have to recreate the code again from the beginning. Remember, do not deactivate a code until the promotion has been completed.

WHAT IF FIRST NATIONS GIFTS HAS A SITEWIDE PROMO CODE?

Customers will then choose the Product PromoCode they prefer to use. This is so promo codes are not used on top of each other. The exception is Shipping Promo Codes, these can be used on top of a Product Promo code.
