These colourful cushion covers has a full colour print on poly-linen on one side and is backed with a natural coloured material (50% Polyester 30% Cotton 20% Linen) on the back. Each cushion cover has a concealed zip. Machine washable. Insert not included.

They are printed with a design from Utopia artist, Lena Pwerle. Each cushion case comes with a photo and some information about the artist.

About the Artist and Artwork

Selina Teece Pwerle was born in 1977 in her traditional country of Antarrengeny, in the Utopia region of Central Australia. Selina’s mother is Lulu Teece Petyarre, who is well-known and was involved in the historically significant Utopia Women’s Batik Group in the 80’s.

Selina paints the stories of her Father’s country Antarrengeny in the Utopia region. Her principal stories are ‘My Country’ (Antarrengeny), ‘Gum Blossom’ and ‘Spinifex’. Her ‘Spinifex’ is a unique style to Selina, as she uses a fan brush to represent the movement of the spinifex.

Selina’s ‘My Country’ paintings is the subject of this cushion cover and is a stunning, vibrant representation of her Country.
