About the Artist and Artwork

‘My Country and Bush Medicine plants’ was painted by Julieanne Morton. She has painted plants that are endemic to her Country and that are used for ‘bush medicine’. Artists from Ampilawatja usually paint landscapes and scenes from their Country rather than dreaming or cultural stories. Country is connected to these cultural stories and are inter-connected with the artwork and their lives.
