Mick Harding belongs to the Yowung-Illam-Baluk clan of the Taungurung people – who belong to the Kulin nation. Mick, a First Nations, Aboriginal artist was born in Melbourne and draws inspiration from the compelling legends of his people.
Mick weaves the images of those legends into each original artwork and reflects the unique symbols and artifacts of South East Australia. Each artwork Mick creates, is linked to a legend and challenges the viewer to understand their place in the story.
